Is it any wonder women experience thinning hair and hair loss? We tug, pull, tease, straighten, curl, crimp and dye our hair, all in the name of beauty. The damage caused by many of today’s hairstyling techniques and hair care products can build up over time, resulting in significant hair loss for women.
While genetics play a part in hair loss for many men and women, hair restoration is possible for those who want to thicken their thinning hair. Clients who’ve tried the Platelet Rich Therapy (PRP) Vampire® treatment, combined with the Theradome treatment at Synergy Spa of The Guyer Institute, get amazing results.
“We have so many men and women who have been extremely pleased with the results of using PRP and the Theradome,” says Denise Kaler, CEO of Synergy Spa of The Guyer Institute. “They like the fact the Theradome is a medical-grade laser that isn’t painful and can be used twice a week in the privacy of their own home.”
How Hair Growth Treatment Works
The vampire treatment for hair loss, or Vampire Hair Re-Growth®, energizes the remaining hair follicles in thinning areas. It works best on existing hair follicles, and not so well on bald spots or really sparse hair.
Using PRP, or Platelet Rich Plasma made from your body’s own molecular structure, the process begins with a standard blood draw. The blood is then placed in an FDA-approved centrifuge, which separates the red blood cells from the platelet-rich plasma. A highly trained staff member at Synergy Spa then injects the plasma directly into the patient’s scalp in areas where hair is thinning to increase blood flow.
The procedure only takes about 30 minutes, with no recovery time and minimal discomfort. Local anesthetics are available for numbing the area before the procedure if needed, but most patients only need to apply an ice pack or take Acetaminophen afterward to relieve any discomfort.
Every patient who receives the PRP Vampire treatment for hair loss also receives a complimentary Theradome treatment at Synergy Spa. The Vampire treatment plants the seeds for hair regrowth, Kaler says, and the Theradome LH80 PRO laser treatment reduces hair shedding, which improves the strength and diameter of the rejuvenated hair.
Ideally, patients who want to thicken thinning hair purchase the Theradome and use the laser device twice a week for 20 minutes in the privacy of their own homes. Sold by Synergy Spa for $895, the Theradome works as a nice adjunct to any hair restoration treatment and lasts a lifetime.
Best Hair Regrowth Results
To achieve the best hair regrowth results, patients need to maintain consistency between treatments. At Synergy Spa, we recommend doing a series of three PRP Vampire treatments, repeating the treatment every 8 to 12 weeks.
The PRP and Theradome treatments also work well on patients with male or female pattern baldness (androgenic alopecia), which may look like thinning hair along the top of the head or a widening part with normal hair thickness at the back of the head. While there is no cure for alopecia areata (an autoimmune disease), alopecia treatment is possible for hair restoration.
Patients usually see results in one or two months, noticing decreased hair shedding and early hair regrowth, but it may take six months or more to double the hair diameter and truly reveal thicker hair.
