Synergy Spa does an expert job when it comes to facial waxing services! When it comes to eyebrows, you need a professional — not only to remove the hair, but also to properly shape the brows. Areas that our technicians can wax include brows, lip, chin, nose, ear, sides of face, and full face.
One of the advantages of waxing over shaving includes the lack of any residual stubble. When you shave your face, the facial hair is cut off at the surface of the skin, leaving it blunt-edged. When it begins to grow back, it grows in the form of stubble. While a five o’clock shadow is fine for most men, it would look unsightly on a woman. Waxing removes the entire hair shaft, meaning it grows back naturally and without the stubbly look that shaving can cause.
The results of our waxing services last much longer than shaving. In fact, most wax jobs, depending on how fast your hair grows, can last up to two weeks. In contrast, shaving your face or using a depilatory only lasts up to five days.
When you get your face waxed at Synergy Spa, you have complete control over which parts of your face are waxed and which stay untouched. Waxing gives you greater precision over shaving, since we only remove hair with wax on it. This makes waxing ideal for the small places on your face that need waxing and shaping.
There are some restrictions with waxing. People with skin conditions, such as eczema, rosacea or facial dermatitis, should not wax. We also do not recommend waxing if you take Retin-A, Accutane or any other topical or oral vitamin A products. These medications thin skin and increase the likelihood of skin removal. Additionally, avoid exfoliating freshly waxed areas or exposing them to the sun for at least 24 hours. Skip shaving between waxing sessions, as shaving will make the next encounter with wax more painful.
When compared to hair-removal options like laser hair removal, waxing remains an inexpensive option with long-lasting results. For a complete list of prices for various areas, please check out our menu of waxing services.
